IS IT FOR YOU?
Do you want confirmation that you are not currently infected with COVID-19?
Are you visiting family members and want to make sure you do not pose a risk?
Are you returning to work or education and have been requested to have a test?
The Coronavirus PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test is a swab test that detects the presence of the genetic material in coronavirus called RNA, indicating a current COVID-19 infection. This throat and nose swab test can be performed by an individual on themselves or by a healthcare professional. The sample is then analysed at an accredited laboratory and results are typically available within 48 hours of the sample being received by the laboratory. The result will show either COVID-19 RNA is ‘detected’ or ‘not detected’. This test may not work if you do not follow the instructions precisely and the swab does not make contact with the surfaces of the nose and throat, in this case it may not be possible to return a test result.
Please note if you are taking this test to confirm an absence of a COVID-19 infection for travel purposes, we cannot guarantee you will receive your results before your date of departure.
We’re a medically-led company with a team of qualified doctors and pathology experts. Our Coronavirus PCR Swab test is manufactured by a leading global laboratory test manufacturer and your sample will be analysed at a UKAS-accredited laboratory in the UK.
